Same old story, they've got in touch saying you've been in some accident. They never say where they got your number from. I now use different email addresses for every site, so I can see who's leaking my info to these scammers. If you have gmail, just add +something before the @ bit. Google still sends it to your inbox. For example, if your email is [email protected], change it to [email protected] where "site" is the name of the website you're signing up with.

Tried messing around with them by saying “We heard you were in a car crash” - I said yes, then asked them to put my manager on. When the manager came on, he asked about the accident so I gave him a date that’s way ahead, or said I died in it. Usually they find it funny and hang up straight away.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk, saying they needed to schedule a visit to sort out an issue with my router speed. Given that my previous concerns were always handled via BT, I was a bit sceptical and raised my doubts. To my shock, he responded quite rudely, telling me to shove off!

i got a call from this number on the 2nd of december 2016 claiming to be from talktalk, which is who we use for our phone. lately, we've been getting loads of scam calls like this. the guy began asking stuff about my router and when i asked him what exactly he wanted, he started swearing and being really rude. i reported it and blocked the number straight away.
