Had another one from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, proper scam call. I told him a few choice words, he was really cheeky. Then he just cut me off before I even got to finish what I was saying!

I keep getting calls from loads of different numbers, sometimes with no caller ID at all, all saying they’re from TalkTalk and that my internet is rubbish and they can fix it. It’s the same old scam. I told them I only use my line for my iPad, and she went on about how that’s no good and asked me to open the Windows start page. I said I don’t use Windows, and then she insisted that they can only sort it if I’m on Windows. I just kept chatting away to waste their time and annoy them. When I asked about a new modem, she said she’d have to check with her manager and get back to me.

got a call from someone saying they were with talktalk. blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone speaking a different language about some ‘we were having’ thing. I just ended the call and blocked the number. Afterwards, another call came through from a number kinda like that one, 01613549266, which has also been blocked now.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, wanted me to sit at my computer to fix an internet issue. Problem is, my internet was fine! Pretty sure it was a scam to get remote access to my PC. Told them I reckoned it was dodgy and that I'd hang up, so I did. The bloke had a really heavy accent and there was a lot of racket in the background, like a busy call centre.

Received a dodgy call purporting to be from TalkTalk. They were quite irate when I mentioned I was an Apple user, as they insisted I needed to access Windows. I decided to keep them on the line just to squander their precious time.

My dad, who’s 82, just got a call from this number and picked up. He said there was noise like a call centre in the background, but no one actually talked. Looks like it might be one of those Talk Talk scam calls, judging from what I read before. He and a few family members keep getting bombarded by these calls.
