Got a call from someone trying to talk me about a loan I’ve never had. As soon as I told them I didn’t owe anything like that, they quickly ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam.

I received a call today, with someone trying to persuade me to invest in a payment protection scheme for a supposed cash prize. They insisted I share my personal details to facilitate a cheque being sent my way. I made it clear that I wasn't interested, and then they abruptly hung up on me.

They rang me four times within a few hours. Didn’t pick up the first three, hoping they’d leave a voicemail but nope, nothing. On the fourth try I answered, but they just hung up right away. Could hear a lot of noise like from a call centre or a hectic office in the background. Probably just a sales pitch or some kind of scam trying to get cash out of me.
