Got a call from someone just asking for a person by first name, felt a bit dodgy right away. When I asked who was on the line, the woman said she was with debt recovery. The moment I questioned her a bit more, she hung up. Definitely seemed fishy to me.

Somebody called pretending to be from HMRC, telling me I hadn’t paid my taxes and threatened legal action if I didn’t sort it immediately. They wanted my bank details, but I told them HMRC wouldn’t ask for that over the phone and that they would always send a letter first.

With all these annoying scammers around, I’ve just stopped answering calls from unknown numbers. If it’s important or real, they can always send a message instead. Saves me wasting time dealing with rubbish calls.

Got called again for the second time today, but this time the person on the line wasn’t silent. He claimed he was working for some call blocking company and said he’d be stopping any annoying telemarketers from ringing me in the future, plus updating my call blocking settings overall.

Got a call from this number but I didn’t say a word, neither did the person on the other end, then they just ended it. Pretty sure it’s just another spam call.
