Got a call from an Indian bloke who knew my name, claiming he was from the 'Windows Tech Support'. He’s been sending me loads of messages for the past couple of weeks saying there’s suspicious activity on my computer linked to illegal websites! I told him I hadn’t got any such alerts and asked how I could be sure he was legit. He tried to give me this long security code, but as soon as I checked the number on Who Called Me and saw the shady reviews, I just ended the call. Seriously, why aren’t these scam numbers blocked yet?

They claimed they wanted to help me lower my unsecured debts but it was a total scam. Best thing to do is just hang up immediately and block the number, don’t waste your time.

Pretty sure its a scam, took ages for them to answer and then they spoke so fast i couldnt even say anything. Then they hit me with the classic “can you talk now?” question. I told them no and they just cut off. Ive blocked the number now but knowing these lot, they’ll just ring from some other number again 🙄

Got this rude bloke on the phone, an Indian guy, flipping out cause I wouldn't answer his questions. He even claimed he knew my name and address, which was completely wrong, and threatened I'd have people at my door soon to harm me. If I said something like that about him, I'd probably be called racist, but they’re allowed to get away with it. Anyway, these calls are definite SCAMS. Just block every 0161 number they use and make sure to report every single one you get.

01613543859 keeps ringing me up loads of times so I usually just let it ring out. Never left a message or anything. When I finally picked up, the line was really bad and his voice all crackly, hard to catch what he was saying. He mentioned something about debts, so I told him I’m going broke and can’t pay anything back. Told him I wasn’t interested and to quit calling. Ended the call and blocked the number on my phone. Fingers crossed they don’t ring again.

Got a call from someone saying they were a victim support worker from the lighthouse team. They left me a voicemail when I didn't answer. Definitely not a dodgy number.

Got a call from a guy called Kevin claiming he was from some debt dept. He kept asking about my dept, or something like that, all around owing money and big loans, maybe about combining debts. I told him straight up I’m on a pension, in my eighties, never taken a loan ever. If I couldn’t pay for stuff, I just didn’t buy it. Honestly, I was furious - these calls just wear you down and make life tough for us old folks.

About five minutes ago, I received a ring from this number and I let them have it with some of the worst insults I could come up with. Honestly, you know exactly what I mean... I also heard it's best not to return their call since they might be able to clone your phone number or something like that.

They rang me like 4 times today!! First couple of calls I picked up and the person just hung up straight away, then on the last two calls it was a woman but the line was all fuzzy and I couldn’t catch what she was saying. She asked if I needed help "handling" my debts, but I don’t have any. I asked her who the creditors were, but she just stayed quiet. I kept pushing her to say, but eventually she just ended the call. It’s so weird, who even takes on these kinds of jobs lol.

Terrible phone quality and a woman calling to offer debt consolidation. I asked how she got hold of my info but she just ignored me and went back to her script. I told her she was definitely cold calling, but she insisted she wasn't and claimed she was trying to help. I said she was lying since I don’t owe anything and demanded to know where my number came from. She huffed and then abruptly ended the call - so disrespectful!
