I replied in the affirmative, and he proceeded to inform me that he was a solicitor who had some rather fantastic news regarding my PPI claim - apparently, it had been successful, and I was due to receive my payout on the 10th of December, which is just around the corner! He requested that I fetch a pen and paper to jot down some details, but I expressed my doubts, explaining that I couldn’t recall ever making a PPI claim. Following that, he abruptly ended the conversation. Odd, isn’t it?Richard5 yearsI received a rather dodgy phone call that claimed I was owed a cheque exceeding £3000 from a previous PPI claim. This was quite puzzling as I was certain I had never made such a claim in the first place. To add to the absurdity, they insisted that I purchase a prepaid voucher to present when a courier arrives at my doorstep with the supposed cheque. The thing is, I was certain I had never filed any such claim. He insisted I purchase some kind of prepaid voucher to hand over when a representative arrived at my doorstep with the supposedly promised cheque.
