My nan got a call from some bloke saying she’d need to jot down some details for when one of their agents arrives to hand over a cheque - something like £30,000 to my granda. Since her eyesight isn’t great, she asked me to write it down for her. She put the phone on speaker so I could hear what the guy was saying. At first, he seemed legit, asking for ID and a bill to prove she lived there. Then he said she needed to buy a £75 Baysafe card, which felt dodgy. So I stopped him and asked what company he was from. Suddenly, he said the claim would be put on hold until after Christmas. When I told him I wasn’t buying it, he said he’d ring back after New Year. I looked up the number and it turns out it’s linked to scammers, so be careful, don’t trust it.

Today I got a call from this number and they asked if I was "Richard." I said yes, then the person claimed to be a solicitor and told me my PPI claim had gone through, and I'd be paid on 10th December (next week). They even told me to grab a pen and paper, but I told them I don’t think I ever made a PPI claim. After that, they just ended the call. ****************

Got a call from this number telling me I was about to receive a cheque for more than £3000 about some old PPI claim. Thing is, I’m pretty sure I never made any claim like that. Then they asked me to purchase a prepaid voucher to give to the person who’s apparently bringing the cheque to my house. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

I got a call from this number saying I’d won a cheque for more than £3000 from some PPI claim I never even made. When I told the person to stop bothering me, they called back twice and got angry, swearing at me because I didn’t agree to buy some prepaid card to give to whoever showed up with the cheque. Honestly, I’m a bit scared to open my door now.
