I received a rather dubious phone call claiming that I was owed a refund of £2800 from my mortgage. After some supposed deductions for fees and taxes, they said I’d be left with £2320. To facilitate this, they instructed me to purchase four £50 Steam cards, insisting that I would need to present these codes to the courier delivering the money. They were quite adamant that they would ring me beforehand to obtain the card details. It’s blatantly a scam if I've ever seen one, and what's more, it’s alarming how easily these Steam cards can be exploited just through sharing the code.

I received a call from someone claiming I was eligible for a £2800 refund related to my mortgage. After deducting various fees and taxes, they mentioned that my final amount would be £2320. They insisted that I needed to purchase four £50 Steam gift cards, which I was to reveal to the individual who would be bringing the funds to me. They stated they'd contact me beforehand to obtain the card numbers. Clearly, this is a blatant scam. It's quite alarming how they could potentially exploit those gift cards simply by having the numbers.

I've had my fair share of calls from this number. Every time I pick up, it just disconnects, followed by a recorded message stating the number is temporarily out of service. It's utterly frustrating!
