Someone rang saying they were from o2 with a half price deal. I told them I’d just ring o2 directly cos I couldn’t chat then. They ended up calling me back but from another number.

Seems like a total scam to me. They keep saying you’re owed a refund and it’s your right, but then they never bother sending anything to your local tax office or even your address. Seriously, don’t hand over your bank info to these guys.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from the tax office, insisting that I'm due a tax refund.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying I'd paid too much tax. Thing is, HMRC don't call people about tax overpayments like that, and if they did, they wouldn’t be ringing from an 0161 area code. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

I keep getting calls where they ask for someone named Daniel Sawyer, but as soon as I answer, they just hang up. It’s starting to get a bit annoying.

Received calls incessantly throughout the day. Not having a clue it might be a con, I decided to return the call, only to find the line was engaged-thank goodness for that! I've promptly added this number to my block list now!

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC. They knew my name and where I live, then said they'd post me a form because I supposedly have a tax rebate coming. It felt dodgy since HMRC don’t usually do things like that, plus I actually owe them money for some tax I didn’t pay properly. Definitely a scam, so I didn’t trust it.
