Though I'm currently residing outside the UK, I could distinctly make out a woman's voice repeating "Hallo" a few times. The surrounding clatter suggested she was in a busy pub or some other crowded venue filled with chatter.

Sounds like a total con - someone rang me pretending to be from HMRC and said they were going to take legal steps against me.

They rang me a couple of times but didn’t say anything or leave a voicemail.

Fingers crossed, this will be the final nuisance call for today. It's absolutely ridiculous - I’ve set a personal best with eight of these irritating interruptions in just one day. Absolutely infuriating! 😡😡😡
