I suspect this is a scam as I don’t have any ties with O2. The individual on the line asserted they were representing O2, attempting to entice me with a discount on my plan. Their English was quite poor, and they had a distinct foreign accent amidst the clatter of a call centre in the background. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I’ve no connections in Manchester, and I’m not expecting any deliveries from there. They didn’t bother to leave a voicemail either.

This person said they were from O2 but they were selling something. They didn’t have any of my info and their accent was really hard to get - a mix of thick Asian and pidgin English which made no sense. Pretty sure it was a scam.

The phone rang but no one said anything, just quiet, then the call ended all of a sudden.

Received a call from someone saying they were with O2 checking if my service was okay. When I said I wasn’t interested, the bloke with an Asian accent got really rude and kept talking over me. After I hung up, I spotted a couple of texts supposedly from O2 with a code, saying I’d asked for it - which I definitely hadn’t - and warning not to share it. I deleted them straight away. This reeks of a SCAM, especially since others mentioned similar calls pretending to be from EE. Watch out carefully!

Got a call claiming to be from Currys PC World asking if I was interested in getting a new mobile.

They said they were calling from EE and asked me to verify my bank info and monthly payment amount, plus if I wanted a phone upgrade. I challenged a few things and then they got really rude with me. In the end, they actually told me to just hang up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone, saying I could get an Iphone 14 for just £30 a month. I told her I use Samsung and then just ended the call.
