I've been receiving more calls from this particular number, and I believe it's from the AA, as they usually call from a number with an 0161 prefix. I recall calling them about three weeks ago, asking to be removed from their database. It seems to happen every year around my home insurance renewal time. Similarly to what others have mentioned, I have switched my business to Aviva and Hastings Insurance companies, partially because of experiences like this. I explicitly informed the AA that their aggressive marketing tactics are a major turn off and are causing them to lose potential customers. Unfortunately, I suspect that their persistent harassment may intimidate some older or vulnerable clients into staying with them, despite their dissatisfaction.
