It appears to me that this could be associated with S O N Connect or something along the lines of SMS Connect, as they seem to offer mobile plans. If you give them a call back, choose option 3, and that should help you get your number removed or blocked from their records.

This number has been ringing me a lot as well, but I've got a simple rule: if it's really important, they'll leave a voicemail. Then I can choose if I want to get back to them or not. So far, none of these calls have left a message, which has saved me from any charges for listening to voicemails (I’m on a PAYG plan with Orange too). I reached out to Orange on their Facebook to see if they know about this firm calling their PAYG users. If they do, I hope they tell me so I can switch providers quickly. Also, I got a call blocker app and this number was the very first one I blocked.

I've got an old Orange pay-as-you-go number that I only keep as a backup now, but it's actually on a different network contract. On 13th September 2013, I missed a call from a telemarketer, and before I could check the number, they left a voicemail that I had to pay to listen to. Then they rang again on 21st September. Both my numbers are registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so I shouldn’t be getting marketing calls or texts, but even after asking Orange directly to stop, I still keep getting them. It makes me wonder if Orange (or EE) have sold my numbers on, or if they’re just allowing these calls. If that's the case, I’m seriously thinking of giving up using their service, even as a spare.

About a couple of hours back I got a call from someone claiming to be from Orange, offering a new SIM deal for 11 quid a month on direct debit. I was knackered after work and it all sounded alright, so I gave them my bank info. Then they said they’d put me through to another dept but the line just went dead. That’s when I got suspicious, so I phoned my bank straight away and they told me to keep an eye on my account just in case. Tried calling the number back and they said they were SLM Connect or something. Guess I’ll see how this pans out...
