Had a weird call from someone claiming I had insurance with them, saying they were just updating my coverage. When I questioned how I could be insured for all those appliances they named, and didn’t want to share any appliance info, the caller said I’d get the details through the post. Then they started asking what appliances I owned and their brands, which felt dodgy right from the start. I didn’t give anything away and they ended the call pretty quick.

A bloke rang saying he wanted to offer me an insurance quote. I told him my policy wasn’t due for renewal just yet. Since then, in about a week, I’ve received nearly ten calls from various numbers in Manchester. Blocking each one was a pain, so I finally got fed up and told them to remove me from their calling list.
