I got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon Prime, saying they'd be charging me £79.99 to keep my subscription going. I rang the number back and spoke to a bloke who said he wasn’t connected to Amazon Prime at all. I told him his number was being used by scammers but he just shrugged it off and said fine. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Could’ve been legit, but that quick hang-up made me suspicious.

When I finally picked up, there was this long pause before a bloke with a strong Indian accent introduced himself as Paul, saying he was from BY Openreach - which we definitely don’t use. I let the bloke ramble on for a while, then when he asked if I was the account holder, I told him it’d depend on whose name is on the bill. He hung up pretty quick after that. Honestly, I’m ready to mess about with them all day if they want!
