I received a call from this number earlier today. Not having a clue who it was, I chose to let it ring. They didn’t bother to leave a voicemail, which I found quite odd. I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that these types of callers are often tied to SSE, attempting to lure unsuspecting folks into getting smart meters. It’s quite likely this caller wasn’t on the level and could indeed be a scam artist. A legitimate entity would surely take the time to drop a message, wouldn’t they?
