This bloke rang me and actually knew my name. He claimed to be from the Visa card’s fraud team. I told him straight away I don’t even own a Visa card, called him an idiot, and hung up on him.

Got a call on my landline from a lady trying to convince me to buy washing machine insurance, claiming our warranty ended. Since we've recently relocated, I doubt the supplier had any update on our address. I requested her phone number, and after a bit of hesitation, she gave me 03330090845 - seemed like she just pulled it out of thin air rather than the actual caller ID. A few days back, that same number rang me too, this time about some security stuff - already reported it. I politely declined the insurance pitch.
