My phone buzzed and I answered with a simple hello but there was just silence, no one spoke. Then I caught faint chatter in the background, like a busy call centre, and a snippet of a word before the line went dead. Given the noisy backdrop and how quick it ended, it really felt like a scam call. This is the third time this week I’ve had calls from different numbers all doing the exact same thing!
