2 yearsThis was a total bank fraud attempt. Make sure to block them and report it straight away.3 yearsWatch out for the so-called "bank cheque scam" - it's a total con!Bank3 yearsReceived a robotic message from a bank that wasn’t identified, stating that there was a withdrawal of funds. It's clearly a scam attempt.3 yearsI received two calls this morning from this number, claiming to be from a fraud detection service. Oddly, they didn't mention which bank they were representing. They alleged there were two questionable transactions on a Visa card - one for an Amazon purchase and another hefty sum from abroad. Things started to seem a bit dodgy when they requested my name and date of birth. I told them I wouldn’t disclose that information, reasoning that they should already have my details if they were genuinely making such a call. The line went silent after that. Now they've tried to reach me again, but I decided against answering! I've checked my Visa accounts, and everything appears to be perfectly alright with no sign of those supposed transactions. I’ll remain vigilant over the next few days, just to be safe.Amazon3 yearsI received a call purporting to be from "bank security"-however, there was no mention of which bank it supposedly was. They claimed there had been two unauthorised withdrawals: one for Amazon and another from an offshore source. It's clearly a notorious scam, so don't be taken in by it. To top it off, the call was made to a number registered under the Telephone Preference Service, making it unlawful. But I highly doubt these rogues are concerned about legality.AmazonTelephone Preference Service3 yearsGot a call from a robot asking for my bank info, I just ended it straight away. Total scam alert!3 yearsGot a call from 01612798081 earlier, they said it was my bank but it was some automated message. Hung up straightaway and called my bank to check. Definitely a scam, so don’t pick up if it rings you!3 yearsI got a message that was clearly recorded, saying there’d been some dodgy activity on my bank account and if I wanted to stop these transactions, I should press 1 to talk to someone. Heard a recorded voice asking me to press 1 if I wanted to confirm a couple of transactions. Seemed dodgy so I’ve blocked it right away.3 yearsAll suspicious calls should be reported to help stop scammers and weirdos. Just text the phone number and info about the call to 7726. When lots of people report the same number, the phone company will mark it as suspicious across their network. Don’t report legit business lines though. Scam texts need to be sent to 7726 as well. If you get scam emails or have screenshots of dodgy texts with links or attachments, email them to '[email protected]'. It was some automated message about two big payments being taken from my account, told me to press 1 to sort it out or something. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.3 yearsReceived a call purporting to be from my bank, stating that £700 had been charged to Amazon and a whopping £2,000 to some offshore account. They wanted me to press 1 or 2, but seeing as I don’t have anywhere near that amount in my account, I smelt a rat immediately. They didn’t even mention which bank they were supposedly calling from!Amazon3 yearsJust got a call from 01612798081 right after 02394352791 rang me.
