It’s been ages since we had any unwelcome calls, yet suddenly this number has popped up, ringing us multiple times each day. Thankfully, we have Caller ID, so we simply ignore any numbers that we don’t recognise. I’m quite intrigued to read everyone’s thoughts on this particular caller and I can’t help but wonder what on earth they’re trying to achieve by asking about things like colours and washing machines. They really are a nuisance, aren’t they? Has anyone actually managed to snag the £50 voucher they keep going on about? I doubt it. I do wonder whether the big supermarkets mentioned are even aware of this.

I received a call asking for someone by a name that was completely off. I simply told them that no one of that name resides here. They inquired about a specific postcode, to which I confirmed it was correct, but reiterated that the individual they were looking for doesn't live at this address. Then, they just ended the call. Their English didn't seem fluent, to be honest.

Just a little while ago, my elderly widowed mum got a call from this number. The bloke on the line acted like he knew who she was and threw around some personal stuff. Thankfully, mum’s always been careful and didn’t share any private info - I've warned her loads about giving out anything on the phone since it’s usually a con job. It’s really disturbing how these scammers target older folks, especially during the evening hours, say between 7 and 9. Makes me worry for others in the same boat.

I told her I don’t shop there, then she said it was for my wife and even mentioned her name. That’s when I got annoyed because my wife passed away three years ago. I just hung up straight away. Really painful experience.

I received a rather suspicious call from someone with a thick accent who struggled with English. They insisted on verifying my home address, claiming it was for a valuation of my property. Naturally, I was curious and questioned why they needed that information. The caller mentioned it would prevent further calls, and then hinted that some sort of sponsor would reach out to me afterward. I pressed them further for clarification, but it became clear they were fishing for details without any solid reason. Eventually, they must have realised I wasn't going to budge and simply hung up. I’ve since blocked the number. What a right bother!

I received a rather dubious call from this number earlier today. The individual on the line claimed to be affiliated with British Telecom and assured me that, effective immediately, my BT landline would be free of pesky nuisance calls. Oddly enough, they provided an incorrect postcode yet managed to get my surname right. Things took an even stranger turn when they inquired about my favourite colour and the brand of my washing machine, alongside its age. It was at this juncture that I seriously began to question the legitimacy of their claim to be from BT! To top it off, they kept addressing me as "love"! Quite the bizarre experience, I must say!

I just had a call from someone claiming that I was eligible for a £50 Tesco voucher. They asked me to verify my address and even inquired about my preferred colour! On top of that, they wanted to know whether my phone service was with BT, the age of my washing machine, and what age bracket I belonged to. After the barrage of questions, they thanked me for my time. When I inquired about the source of the voucher, she assured me it was indeed from Tesco, which made me initially think it was all above board since I do shop there regularly.

got a call from a woman speakin with an asian accent, sayin i'd won a £50 voucher for morrisons. she already had my number, name, and even postcode, then started givin me my full address details. i paused her and asked which supermarket it was, and when she said morrisons i told her i never shop there so there’s no way i’d win a voucher. after that, i just went ahead and ended the call.

They tried to check my postcode and house number, then wanted to ask more questions but I couldn’t hear them properly so I just ended the call.
