My older neighbour got a call from these people. She wasn’t really sure what they wanted and just ended the call. Even though she’s signed up to the TPS, she still gets calls like this every day. Feels pointless to be on the list. We blocked the number, but I reckon they’ll just use another one next time. I think her number ends up on some vulnerable list or something, 'cause it keeps getting passed around.

Both sounded like they were from abroad, and the second caller even gave me two different names within the first minute. Definitely a scam, especially since I’ve already got a contract with D&G!

Got a call from some place called D and G, they said something about washing machine insurance. I asked them which make they were talking about cos mine’s out of cover now. They said it was Hotpoint, and I told them I don’t even own a Hotpoint. Then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from Domestic and General, about my washing machine warranty. Since I already have a valid warranty with them, something felt off. Usually, they send the new price and warranty details through the post. When I asked her to send the info by post first, she said it would only come after I paid up in full. I called it out as a scam and ended the call straight away. Honestly, could be so easy for someone to get caught out with that one.
