0161 254 8952 gave me a ring while i was on the road and working. i didnt pick up at first coz i was driving, then the phone stopped, only to ring again for quite a while. i just ignored it, but it kept going off again and again. figured it might be something urgent, so i stopped the car and called back, but it was just this weird unobtainable noise. i honestly have no idea what they're thinking, it's proper annoying!

I completely echo what others have mentioned here. Those incessant calls drove my husband-who’s usually quite courteous-up the wall. We received at least six calls in a mere five minutes! In the end, we just answered the phone and let the poor chap ramble on to himself until the line started screeching to be hung up. I’ve since reported this pesky nuisance to the Telephone Preference Service.

The phone rang multiple times, and on the other end, a gentleman with an Asian accent was requesting to have a word with my mum. His tone turned rather confrontational when he claimed to be a doctor. I found his manner quite aggressive and off-putting.

I recently received several calls from this number regarding a supposed grant. After expressing our disinterest and hanging up, I was bombarded with roughly eight more calls. Eventually, the caller claimed he was with the doctor's office wanting to discuss my husband and urged me to return his call. It was a gentleman of Asian descent, but when I reached out to the doctor's surgery, they had no knowledge of any such matter. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I initially received a call from someone with an Asian accent, claiming to be associated with a solar energy grant. After I declined their offer, they persistently bombarded me with up to seven calls. The narrative took a rather peculiar turn when the caller then claimed to be from a hospital in Lincolnshire, insisting that he needed to discuss matters concerning my partner and our children. Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me!

I received a call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, though I couldn’t quite decipher what he was promoting. I ended up ending the conversation and hung up. He called again, but I chose not to answer; soon after, I received another call from a different number. He was quite irate, claiming that because I had terminated the call, he was informing me that my husband's doctor had decided to cease treating him and would be returning his entire medical records. Thankfully, my husband isn’t currently undergoing any treatment, but I shudder to think how alarming that would be for someone whose loved one was. This number definitely needs to be shut down.

I received a call from someone named Peter Wong. Curiosity got the better of me, so I inquired about their location. He mentioned something like 20 Victoria, but then abruptly ended the conversation. The company he claimed to represent was called Energy Savings. Quite odd, really!

Each time I tell them I’m not bothered but they just don’t stop. It’s honestly getting annoying and feels like harassment. Someone really should do something about these persistent callers.

I've had this number reaching out to me repeatedly over the past few weeks, always either an Indian woman or man at the other end. But today took the biscuit! The incessant ringing drove me to distraction, and in a fit of rage, I told one chap to just leave me alone. Would you believe he called me back pretending to be a doctor with some urgent matter? I pressed him for details on which practice he was representing, and he switched to claiming it was a hospital. When I inquired further about the name of the hospital, he told me to shove off! An Asian guy knew my last name and said I qualifed for government aid on my property valuation. I hung up straight away. He rang back right away and said, "I’m not calling you just for you to hang up on me." I hung up again without saying a word. After that, he kept ringing me 10 times in a row.

I answered and all I got was silence, then this automated lady with an Asian accent just said "Goodbye." Kinda worried now that since I answered, they might keep calling back. Reading others' comments helped me realise it’s no use trying to talk to them to make the calls stop.

They actually knew my name, but as soon as I said I wasn’t sure who they were and asked them to identify themselves, they just ended the call. Definitely a scam. Ever since I ordered from Online Appliances, these calls haven’t stopped. They must have shared my landline and mobile without asking me at all. This was about 5 years back now. Even though I’m signed up with the TPS, the calls keep coming. Best thing is to block and put them on a blacklist. Seriously, don’t give your number to OA - they’re careless with private info.

Got a call today and the person couldn’t even figure out if they were speaking to Mr or Mrs. When I said I was Mrs, he got it wrong again, so I told him to sort out his gender guess before chatting. Told him he shouldn’t be ringing me, said goodbye and hung up. Less than a minute later he called back, asking why I was yelling at him, then I told him to f### off and he hung up. So rude!

They said I might be eligible for a cheaper boiler, and I was buzzing because I really needed one. After about 18 minutes, they started talking about paying a deposit. I asked, "Should I get the owner to pay?" and they replied, "But didn’t you say you were the homeowner?" I told them I do own a home, just not this one. Then the line just cut off. Proper rude!

this number showed up as 001612548621 so i decided to check it out. ive had calls from them before about replacing my boiler. try to keep the convo going as long as u can. say youre interested but need to check with your landlord first. once they hear landlord, like mine was, they usually just cut off. if they call again, try to waste around 10 mins asking them to say stuff again so you can write it down. mostly they wont bother after that. andy haslam bury

Today i got a call from a number that was hidden. I spoke to an asian guy and asked why he was ringin from a hidden number and if he could tell me his number. He gave me 01612548621. Not sure who it is but he was really rude and kept asking about getting a new boiler with some government grant to fit in my house.
