0161 254 8952 gave me a ring while i was on the road and working. i didnt pick up at first coz i was driving, then the phone stopped, only to ring again for quite a while. i just ignored it, but it kept going off again and again. figured it might be something urgent, so i stopped the car and called back, but it was just this weird unobtainable noise. i honestly have no idea what they're thinking, it's proper annoying!

I totally agree with everything that’s been said here. My husband, who’s usually very courteous, got really annoyed after we kept getting called over and over. It must’ve been about six calls in just five minutes. Eventually, we just answered and let the bloke ramble away while he ended up talking to no one because we hung up. We’ve since reported it to the TPS.

I kept getting calls from this guy with an Asian accent. He was asking for my mum and got really annoyed, claiming he was a doctor. He was quite pushy and rude about it.

This number called me earlier offering some grant. I told them we weren’t interested and ended the call, but they kept calling me back like 7 or 8 times. Eventually, an Asian guy claimed he was from the doctor’s office and that it was about my husband, asking me to call him back. I checked with the doctor’s surgery and they had absolutely no clue what he was on about.

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to offer a solar energy grant. I said I wasn't interested, but they kept calling me, like, 7 times in a row! Then suddenly the story switched, and they said they were ringing from a Lincolnshire hospital wanting to talk to my partner about the kids. Felt really fishy and dodgy to me!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent. No idea what he was trying to sell, so I just hung up. Later, he called again but I ignored it. Then he rang from a different number and sounded really annoyed. He told me that since I'd cut him off, he needed to inform me that my husband's doctor was stopping his treatment and would be sending back all his medical files. Luckily, my husband isn't getting any treatment, but I can imagine this would be really worrying if it was someone in your family. Honestly, this number should be blocked or taken out of service.

I received a call from someone named Peter Wong. Curiosity got the better of me, so I inquired about their location. He mentioned something like 20 Victoria, but then abruptly ended the conversation. The company he claimed to represent was called Energy Savings. Quite odd, really!

This number keeps ringing me about some boiler grant. I’ve lost count how many times they’ve called over the past year, probably over ten. Each time I tell them I’m not bothered but they just don’t stop. It’s honestly getting annoying and feels like harassment. Someone really should do something about these persistent callers.

An Asian guy knew my last name and said I qualifed for government aid on my property valuation. I hung up straight away. He rang back right away and said, "I’m not calling you just for you to hang up on me." I hung up again without saying a word. After that, he kept ringing me 10 times in a row.

I answered and all I got was silence, then this automated lady with an Asian accent just said "Goodbye." Kinda worried now that since I answered, they might keep calling back. Reading others' comments helped me realise it’s no use trying to talk to them to make the calls stop.

When the phone rang, I decided to answer in my best Peter Sellers impression - you know, like that silly French detective, Inspector Clouseau. I hung on the line for a bit, hearing some noisy chatter in the background, like a busy call centre. The caller had this sort of Asian accent, maybe, and every time he tried to chat, I’d throw in a cheerful “elloue guttentag” to throw him off. Nearly lost it laughing a few times. This bloke was a proper pain, really rude and pushy, kept pestering us nonstop. I hung up but he just kept calling every minute like some sort of nuisance. Said he could sort out a grant for replacing our boiler or something. Honestly, felt pretty dodgy. My son picked up and asked for the manager to make a complaint but this guy just wouldn’t have it and kept being disgusting and rude.

They actually knew my name, but as soon as I said I wasn’t sure who they were and asked them to identify themselves, they just ended the call. Definitely a scam. Ever since I ordered from Online Appliances, these calls haven’t stopped. They must have shared my landline and mobile without asking me at all. This was about 5 years back now. Even though I’m signed up with the TPS, the calls keep coming. Best thing is to block and put them on a blacklist. Seriously, don’t give your number to OA - they’re careless with private info.

Got a call today and the person couldn’t even figure out if they were speaking to Mr or Mrs. When I said I was Mrs, he got it wrong again, so I told him to sort out his gender guess before chatting. Told him he shouldn’t be ringing me, said goodbye and hung up. Less than a minute later he called back, asking why I was yelling at him, then I told him to f### off and he hung up. So rude!

They said I might be eligible for a cheaper boiler, and I was buzzing because I really needed one. After about 18 minutes, they started talking about paying a deposit. I asked, "Should I get the owner to pay?" and they replied, "But didn’t you say you were the homeowner?" I told them I do own a home, just not this one. Then the line just cut off. Proper rude!

this number showed up as 001612548621 so i decided to check it out. ive had calls from them before about replacing my boiler. try to keep the convo going as long as u can. say youre interested but need to check with your landlord first. once they hear landlord, like mine was, they usually just cut off. if they call again, try to waste around 10 mins asking them to say stuff again so you can write it down. mostly they wont bother after that. andy haslam bury

Today i got a call from a number that was hidden. I spoke to an asian guy and asked why he was ringin from a hidden number and if he could tell me his number. He gave me 01612548621. Not sure who it is but he was really rude and kept asking about getting a new boiler with some government grant to fit in my house.
