Got a call from a number supposedly in Manchester but it was actually from Bahrain. I managed to keep the person on the line for a while as they tried to tell me there’s another Manchester somewhere in Mamlakat al Bajhrayan or sumfink. The whole thing was about "Give your BANK details so we can sort your PPI payment." Yeah right!

I received a phone call from this number two days ago, which turned out to be a company handling PPI claims. I made it clear to them that I wanted my number removed from their calling list and for them not to contact me again. Surprisingly, the person on the call abruptly ended it. Just ten seconds later, they called me back. I chose not to answer this time. To my surprise, today I happened to receive a package in the mail from a company called Ascend. It contained all the necessary documents for me to file a PPI claim and thanked me for selecting their services. They even provided a client reference number. If it turns out that Ascend is the same company that incessantly calls me, I will definitely report their actions to the relevant authorities.
