I dont ever pick up calls from numbers I dont recognize, even if its somethin legit, they'll leave a message or find another way to reach you. Just block em. Dont ring back cos it could be one of those scams that charges u for calling back. Lately, they’re using 0800 numbers or local landlines to make it look like it’s someone familiar. Our number’s unlisted but still they manage to get through somehow?? Lucky theres websites like this and mobile or landline providers let u block these annoying calls. Just block and move on.

I keep getting calls from numbers starting with 0 1612 on my phone, block one and then another pops up with just a small difference in digits. I picked up one time, and the bloke on the other end had some really old address for me. This guy, who sounded foreign, kept telling me to "hold on a sec" or something like that. I did, but gave fake answers to his questions. When he asked something that felt like it could get me into trouble, I just said it wasn’t his business. Then he hung up on me. It’s so annoying, I really can’t stand this kind of harassment.

I had quite the experience with a company called Professional Reclaim Services regarding PPI claims. After receiving a staggering 12 calls in just one day, I finally decided to ring them back. In frustration, I made it clear that I would not hesitate to lodge a complaint with Ofcom if the calls didn't cease. Thankfully, they eventually removed my number as part of their complaints protocol. Nevertheless, I went ahead and reported them to Ofcom regardless!
