Someone called saying they were from Scottish Power and wanted me to switch my tariff. Oddly enough, by the end of the call, they claimed to be from Northumbrian Electric instead.

ECC - Easy Claims Company. I ignored their call at first but decided to ring them back. It sounded like a hectic call centre and the guy who picked up was quite nice. Still, I wouldn't get involved, their site isn't secure and they're one of those PPI claims firms.

For the past fortnight, I’ve been inundated with calls on my mobile, and I've turned them away each time. My voicemail makes it crystal clear: if I don’t recognise the number and they have the audacity not to leave a message, they’ll never get through to me. I can’t fathom why they even try! I've now added the number to my auto-reject list. The same goes for my landline; I deal with them in a similar fashion. I've let my GP know that any calls from them will go unanswered since their number comes through as withheld, and they totally respect that. I’ve crafted the best voicemail greetings-some might think they're a tad impolite, but my friends and family know me well enough to appreciate them!

I’ve blocked the number but they keep ringing. Someone really needs to do something about this.

I get calls from them about 3 times daily. Each time, they just hang up. I tried to ignore it but then I get texts saying I missed a call. Even if I hang up, they ring again later. I can’t seem to block them on my phone, so I’m stuck. It’s really annoying me. Feels like they’re just harassing me and it’s not right they should be allowed to carry on like this.

Pretty sure they mentioned something like Easyclean. After getting about 15 calls with them just hanging up, I managed to get through and spoke to someone who claimed they’d never rung me before. I told them they were harassing me and told them to bugger off and stop bothering me. Terrible bunch, I don’t get why people choose to work for these dodgy firms!

Somebody rang me saying I owed £1,300 from a loan, credit card or mortgage. Total nonsense - I’ve never had any loans or a mortgage. No debts at all and I always clear my credit card on time. They kept pushing me for my date of birth, saying they couldn’t go on without it. But if they needed my DOB to check my accounts, how on earth did they know I supposedly had money owed to me? I ended up just hanging up and blocked the number. So beware, this company sounds completely dodgy. What really annoys me is they already had my name, address and mobile number!
