Got a call from 01612488050, some woman with a foreign accent wanted a few minutes to ask personal questions about my home. She claimed to be from UK Choice. When I asked her how she got my info, she just ended the call straight away. Bit fishy since I’d just finished applying for a bank charge refund, feels a bit too coincidental.

This number is listed under Lloyd’s law but that company was dissolved back in 2018 as per Companies House records. I tried calling it back after I missed their call, but it just goes to voicemail saying the office is shut. How is this number still active for a business that isn’t trading anymore?

Got a call from an Indian guy who asked for me by my proper name but gave the wrong address and postcode. When I told him that info was wrong, he tried to get my correct address, but I wouldn’t share it, so he just hung up. I don’t usually pick up calls from unknown numbers but answered this one since it showed as Lloyd’s Insurance in Manchester. What a pain. I’ve blocked the number now.
