Got a call on my phone from a woman claiming to be from Wilkinson about a PPI refund of £3250. The details she shared were pretty confusing. The call was from a mobile number, not a landline. Then she passed me to a bloke asking me to download an app called AnyDesk to access my phone remotely. I asked why they were using a mobile number instead of a proper office line and he couldn’t explain. He gave me a number 0161 248 0808, but when I looked it up, the company had been closed since 2020. Then the guy just ended the call. Definitely a scam PPI call.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she had official approval from the government to process a PPI claim I supposedly made back in 2013. I have made some PPI claims before, but definitely not that year. She was quite smooth, knew a few personal bits about me, and even gave me the name and address of her company. When I looked it up, the company’s no longer active. She told me to ring back on 01615526975, but that number’s been reported loads of times here, so watch out for both this one and the one I’m flagging now!
