A caller reached out looking for the previous resident of this house, who hasn't lived here for four years! When we mentioned this, she persisted with a well-rehearsed spiel about financial guidance and assistance from the government. As soon as we suggested that her approach resembled numerous other nuisance calls we've received, she quickly became quite defensive and lost her footing. Then, she switched gears and tried to fish for our name to supposedly refresh her records. We firmly declined to share any information and asked her to leave us alone, which she eventually did.

I’ve received a call from someone claiming to represent an advisory line affiliated with the government. I promptly terminated the conversation and made it clear that our number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service. By the way, I appreciate the name of the company; it gives us the necessary details to report them to Ofcom!

For the past couple of days, we've been receiving calls from this number, and each time we pick up, the line goes completely silent. We've tried ringing them back, but all we get is a message saying the service is not available. It's becoming rather infuriating!
