Got a call from a woman with an American accent saying my IP address was hacked and I'd be cut off in a day. She told me to press 1 for info or something. Honestly, what's the use of the TPS if these annoying calls keep happening? The best thing you can do is just hang up right away.

Got a call from some woman with a thick American accent saying my IP address was hacked and I'd be cut off in a day if I didn't press 1. Honestly, what’s the use of the TPS scheme when these dodgy calls keep coming through? The safest thing is just to ignore and hang up straight away.

Got a call earlier from some woman with a weird Asian accent, sounded totally robotic. She claimed to be from my internet provider saying my connection was at risk and would be disconnected in a day or so. Honestly, if I had a quid for every one of these annoying calls, I'd be well off by now! They tend to come in bunches - quiet for ages and then suddenly my phone's flooded with them from loads of different numbers. Pretty sure someone’s gone and sold my details again! Blocked all the numbers straight away.

I was out when this number kept ringing me several times but they didnt leave any voicemail. So, I just decided to block it.

Got a robo call claiming to be my internet company, told me my IP was hacked and I needed to get a new router. The voice asked me to press 1 to go on. Total scam, I reckon.

Got a recorded call from some American woman saying my internet was hacked or something. Totally feels like a scam to me. Why hasn’t anyone put a stop to these annoying calls yet?

Got one of those robocalls again, all in that annoying American accent, going on about some internet problem or something. Drives me mad!

First, I got a call from a man who said he was from BT and it all sounded pretty convincing. Then, about three hours later, my phone rang again but it was a recorded message from an American woman. Bit strange, really.

"I keep receiving these calls claiming to be from my Internet Service Provider, warning me that my connection is about to be cut off in the next day. It’s quite ludicrous, really! These calls often come from a variety of numbers, some even withheld. I never stick around to hear the entire spiel; I usually just hang up straight away."

These idiots keep using the same tired scam - some American sounding bloke pretending to be from our internet company, telling me my connection's been "hacked" and it’ll be cut off in a day unless I talk to their so-called "tech" people. If we actually had internet here I might have panicked, but I can imagine it’s pretty scary for anyone who doesn’t spot these dodgy scams straight away.

These folks kept phoning me for days on end. Honestly, best to just ignore them completely.

Looks like a scam, definitely don’t hit 1 if you get this call.

My call blocker picked this one up right away. They didn’t even try to drop a voicemail or anything.

Got a dodgy robo call telling me my internet was about to get cut off. Just ended the call straight away.

Got a call just like some others here - a recorded American voice claiming they were 'representing my service provider.' They said my internet was at risk of being cut off in a day because of a security issue. They told me to press 1 to talk to a technician. This is actually the second time I’ve had this call in a week.

I got a call from the same American guy on 01587571046 telling me my internet would be cut off in 24 hours. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Like some folks mentioned earlier, if our internet service has been hacked, then we're seriously in deep trouble since it's a huge national government firm. Maybe it's even Mr T behind it!

Got a recorded call with an American accent saying they were from our internet company, warning that our internet got hacked. They asked me to hit 1 to talk to someone, but i just hung up. Seems like an old scam with a bit of a fresh spin to it.

Got loads of those messages saying my internet's been hacked, coming through from this 01612251732 number and loads of different 0181 codes over the past week or so. My internet's been working perfectly fine, so the whole "cut off in 24 hours" thing is just rubbish. Luckily, my phone operator lets me block nuisance calls, so I just keep blocking them as soon as they pop up. Feels like these scammers keep switching numbers all the time. Honestly, best to just ignore them and definitely don't press 1 or anything like that.

Got a call with a robotic American lady warning my internet was hacked and would be off for a whole day. It told me to hit 1. I just let it ring out.

Got a recorded message with an American accent saying my internet would be cut off, press 1 to talk to a tech. Then a guy with an Indian accent said he was from BT. Told him my internet isn’t with BT but he kept going on like he knew everything. He even knew my address - bit creepy! Ended the call and did a 1471 check. Tried ringing back the number and just got a dead tone. Pretty sure it’s just another scam.

Definitely a scam, best to just not answer.

This is the fifth time I've been called today by some robot with an American accent telling me to switch my IP address! It's so annoying!

I’ve had that same call like 4 or 5 times now, some guy with an American accent telling me my internet’s been hacked. Used to be from another phone number before, so blocking doesn’t really help much. Didn’t bother pressing 1 to talk to their “technician” - feels like one of those dodgy scams just trying to get you to call some pricey number.
