After putting my advert up on Gumtree, I quickly started getting calls about fake accidents - definitely felt like a scam to me.

Some bloke rang up saying he was from an accident claims place for this crash I supposedly had. I told him I'd got chronic amnesia and had zero memory of any accident - mainly coz there was none! He didn’t even argue, just ended the call straight away!

I keep getting calls from what looks like the “accident” con, using numbers like 0161 768 1279 and 0121 454 5450. I’ve blocked all three now.
