If your system flags up a fault, they’ll contact you, so they’re aware there’s something wrong but might not know the exact problem. They might get you to press some buttons on your control panel and ask for your password code, however, they’ve never actually asked me to say my password out loud.

That voice had me thinking it was some scammers from Karachi, with the sneaky accent and loads of noise in the background. They were asking for bank info and wanted me to send money via Western Union. WATCH OUT EVERYONE!

I recently got an alarm system with ADT and had been chatting to them from a Manchester based number. Today, I missed a call from 01612143100, thought it might be ADT so I rang back. But when I called, an automated message said they don’t accept calls. I looked up ADT’s real number and told them about it, and they said that number wasn’t theirs. So yeah, I’ve blocked that number now.
