Got a call from someone wanting to speak to the owner of the business. When I asked who's calling, he turned around and asked who I was. I told him he should have started by saying who he was and what company he was with - quite rude really. Then he snapped back, "No wonder your business failed," and just hung up on me. Honestly, he sounded like someone who was struggling with addiction. If they ring you, let them think you're putting them through, then mute the call and leave them hanging for about ten minutes before cutting them off and blocking the number.

Such a pointless call! As soon as I mentioned the business he was trying to con was shut down ages ago, he just cut me off. What a daft prat.

This guy told me "your site ain't on Google" which was seriously off. I told him straight, our site’s definitely on the web, but Google’s just a search engine, like a tool to find it, not the actual place it lives. Our website’s on a server somewhere, not “on Google”. That didn’t go down well and things got a bit rowdy after that.

I got a call out of the blue from someone claiming to be from MediaSmart (their site is www.mscsonline.co.uk), trying to flog Google ads. I tried to be nice and said I wasn’t interested, didn’t want to waste his time, but he pushed on, telling me it’d only cost £150 for clicks to my site and that loads of people searched for businesses around here.
After I said no again, he turned pretty nasty, telling me if my business couldn’t afford that, I might as well close up shop! When I challenged him and asked for a manager, he just hung up. I called back, and the guy who answered seemed like the same one but pretended otherwise, and when I mentioned wanting to speak to a supervisor, he repeated the shutdown comment and disconnected me again.
I tried calling a few more times, but now I think he’s gone and blocked my number!

They said they were from Google, but honestly they were so rude and pushy, like I was a complete idiot. It was really unpleasant, very aggressive behaviour.

Proper cheeky and really aggressive on the phone. I told them the manager wasn't at this site since he's managing five others, and they totally lost their temper. Then they just dropped the call while I was still talking.

I got a call from some pushy salespeople putting loads of pressure on me. They kept saying they were Google initially, but when I asked for details, they said they worked for Mediasmart, which is supposedly a digital marketing partner. When I said no to their offer, I ended up getting a call from a rude bloke who just hung up on me halfway through the chat once he realised I wasn’t interested. Proper annoying experience.

Somebody called saying they were from Google, trying to sell ads. I wasn’t interested and they got a bit grumpy about it. Eventually, I just hung up. Definitely not the best way to get companies to advertise with them!

Just like others have said, this guy was really quick to hang up as soon as I said there's no boss here. Maybe he should try ringin Sainsburys or Argos instead and actually ask for the boss there!

He was really pushy about finding out who I was but wouldn’t say where he was calling from. Got quite rude when I said my boss wasn’t around. Honestly, with that kind of attitude, I can’t see him getting through to many bosses anytime soon!
