Someone rang me up pretending to be from my bank. They said they’d stopped a cheque I was about to send to the co-op because it’d been cancelled. This lady sounded really convincing and even got me to give her two of the numbers from my passcode. Turns out, they went ahead and cashed the cheque anyway. Relatively scary how believable she was.

I left a comment earlier thinking this was a scam, but I was mistaken - this number actually belongs to the co-op bank! You can check by ringing their official phone number. Sorry to the kind lady who called, seems it was a proper call after all.
