I just received one of those dodgy automated calls purporting to be from Amazon, asserting that my account had been hacked and urging me to press 1 right away to protect it. It's a complete con. Whatever you do, don’t press 1-it's just a ploy to rack up huge charges on your bill. Best to just hang up and save yourself the hassle!

Got a robocall saying it was Amazon, telling me my account was hacked and to hit 1 right away. Total scam, obviously. Don’t ever press 1, it’ll probably cost you a ton. These scammers really need to be dealt with properly, feels like they deserve a serious punishment.
