To make matters worse, he became quite impolite when I pointed out he seemed to be fabricating claims to get me to pursue compensation for something that didn’t even occur. He accused me of twisting his words, but I had to remind him that he was the one making the unsolicited call in the first place! I found the whole encounter rather distasteful, and the only reason I picked up was that my phone indicated it was a local number.
