I've been bugged by this same number four times now. The caller, who had an accent, kept telling me I had a loan from a decade ago and that I could claim PPI back. When I mentioned I'm on the TPS list, the bloke got quite rude and said the TPS doesn't cover this kind of call. I reckon it's exactly the kind of call the TPS should block. These annoying calls really need to be nipped in the bud.

So, I got another call from someone saying I should get some money back because of PPI on a loan from 2005. I asked him which bank he meant, cos honestly, I’ve never taken a bank loan or even held an account at the place he mentioned. It’s daft how these scummy calls keep coming through, and makes me wonder what the point of the TPS even is.

Today at 12:38pm, I got a call from this number. They asked for me by name right away. When I asked who was calling, they said something like "financial services" and claimed I was due a refund of £1740 for PPI. The dodgy accent and the whole story set off alarm bells, but I decided to play along. They said it was about a personal loan of £5000 taken out in 2004 and paid off in 2997, and asked if it was only in my name and which bank it could have been with. Even though I’m certain I never had such a loan, weirdly enough, I gave the correct answers. Then the caller wanted me to confirm all the info again and said they’d transfer me to another person - telling me not to hang up. So I just ended the call. After that, the number kept calling me multiple times. Eventually, I answered politely but hung up straight away. Then, when I finally picked up properly, the caller started yelling, "Why did you hang up? Get off the line, you motherf***er!" Yeah, real professionalism there!

Some foreign number kept calling my landline and mobile, asking all sorts of questions like "how you doing" and that. When I asked who they were from, like which company or whatever, she just said she was giving me some time. I told her to stop with the small talk and she got quiet but didn’t hang up. I ended up just hanging up on her. These annoying calls need to be stopped, seriously. If we bothered anyone like that, we'd probably get fined or worse.
