A chap with an Asian accent rang me up, claiming to be from Openreach, insisting that my internet connection had been hacked. I kept him talking for a good five minutes, pretending to be concerned, until I casually asked for a number to call him back. At that point, he promptly disconnected.

I received a call from a chap claiming to be from India, who informed me that my internet connection was at risk of being terminated in the next 24 hours due to some sort of data compromise. Quite the alarming message, indeed!

I received a recorded message today claiming that my IP address had been compromised, threatening to cut off my internet connection within 24 hours unless I contacted their so-called engineer. I'm a BT internet subscriber, so it's quite clear this is nothing more than a scam.

Clearly a dodgy scam, they’re claiming that your IP address has been ‘breached’. Best not to engage, unless you're skilled enough to toy with them and keep them occupied!

Utter nonsense! They claimed our IP address had to be changed and asked us to press 1 to proceed. It’s clearly a dodgy scam! I really wish there was more we could do aside from just hanging up.

I had a rather peculiar phone call from an Asian gentleman whose English was quite fragmented. He claimed to be affiliated with Virgin Media. Whatever you do, resist the urge to press 1 if you receive such a call! Just steer clear of it altogether.

I recently received a call from an American-sounding voice warning me that my internet IP address might be cut off within the next day or two due to some suspicious activity linked to multiple countries. Quite alarming, to say the least!
