Ugh, this number called me earlier but I let it ring out. Bit gutted I didn’t pick up now, I actually quite enjoy dealing with these folks! It’s a laugh pretending to be all serious and watching them get all confused.

I received a rather dubious call from someone with an accent that suggested they were overseas. This chap claimed to represent the Windows technical support team and insisted there were problems with my computer. He went on to ask for permission to access my PC remotely. Just a word of caution to everyone out there-stay vigilant!

some bloke with a foreign accent rang me up, claiming my computer was riddled with viruses and kept going on about pressing the ctrl! key or something. i told him nicely that i use a mac, so those keys don't apply here, but he just kept insisting that my computer was in big trouble. by then, i told him i actually work in IT and that he was clearly trying to scam me, then just hung up on him. honestly, it's worrying that people who aren't tech-savvy might fall for this kind of nonsense. there really oughta be more done to crack down on these scams.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from a computer support service. I told him my computer was fine and then I just hung up on him.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they might be from Asia, saying they needed to get into my computer to fix some issue with Windows Pro or something. Is this a scam or what?

This bloke rang me and asked how I got his number and called me Mr Xxx, which is actually my wife’s maiden name. When I tried to ask him more, he just ended the call. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from Las Vegas, but sounded like an Asian guy trying to trick me into letting him into my computer. I had a good chuckle, told him I’m into the dark web and my mates know his number and might pop round to say hello. He started swearing and then just hung up. Honestly, it’s good to have a laugh and mess with these scammers, just don’t spill any personal details!
