She rang up saying I was owed a refund of £149.00 because apparently I overpaid for some kitchen stuff - cooker, washing machine, and fridge. She claimed it was about extra cover on these items from a home appliance company, and said it was sorted in December 2022. I told her that’s not true at all, and then she just hung up on me.

I just had a rather concerning call from this number. An individual with a pronounced Indian accent rang my elderly mother, claiming she was entitled to some sort of refund and then went on to request her bank information. Thankfully, my mother had the foresight to hang up before giving anything away.

Got calls from someone called Rose Watson, sounded Asian, pretending to work for BT. Said there was some issue with our internet and that some third party had taken control of our connection. They were super pushy, to the point it felt like harassment. They kept ringing back from different numbers, even mobiles. Weirdly, they did something so me and my missus couldn’t block the number or hang up properly (not sure how they did that). Finally, they backed off after I mentioned I'd read about this scam on your site and warned them we’d take action.

Had a call from some Asian lady claiming there was a problem with my internet. I told her straight up to stop trying to scam me. Later, I looked up the number and, yep, it’s definitely one of those dodgy scam calls. Why can’t these scammers just find a decent job or vanish from around here? It’s getting well annoying.

Got a call from a bloke, sounded Asian, called himself Jordan and said he was with Openreach. He was going on about my internet line needing to switch from public to private or my computer would get damaged or something daft like that. I told him to email me the details and hung up. Then he phoned again, insisting it was really urgent and I had to listen. I just said I’d ring my internet provider myself and said bye. Later, I checked the number and yep, total scam as I thought. Such awful people out there.
