Some bloke called claiming he could help me with my income tax and told me I owed $10,000. Then he asked me to fix his numbers, saying folks around here usually pay about $150,000. I didn't give him a penny. He spoke with an Indian accent and got all dodgy when I asked for his licence and details. After a bit, he just hung up on me.

I use a call blocker which cuts off junk calls right after one ring. Still, daily I get this call from "tel corp penn" and right after that, another number pops up that isn’t blocked, appearing as 160-837-1666. Checking both my phone and Verizon’s caller ID, it turns out the actual number is 1-608-371-6666. Seems like the last six digits get chopped off on the regular phone display. Proper annoying!
