On the 17th of February 2020, I received a call from the number 44 1606 871726, which I discovered was linked to Northwich, England. The caller purporting to inform me of some supposed dubious transactions related to my Visa card. I decided it was best to terminate the call without engaging.

On the 17th of February 2020, I received a rather suspicious call while in Quebec, Canada. The number came from Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, with the caller asserting they were connected to my government-issued SIN card. I didn't stick around to hear more and promptly ended the conversation!

Got a call saying my Amazon Prime was about to expire, which is odd since I’ve never signed up for it. It felt quite threatening and really annoying, especially because I was expecting an important call from the hospital at the same time.

Just got back to this, kinda lucky I didn't pick up earlier. If it’s one of those dodgy Amazon Prime scams, the best thing is to hang up right away. Don’t press any buttons no matter what they say. Feel free to swear at it if you want, but it’s just some automated voice anyway.

Got a voicemake from a bloke with a British accent, saying he was from BT, warning my internet was going to be cut off unless I sorted it out straight away. Called on my home phone claiming to be from AMAZON. Similar to what another person mentioned, they said some payment had been or would soon be taken for Prime membership. This happened not long ago too, and when I checked with Amazon, it turned out to be a scam since I never signed up for Prime. The call came from somewhere near Waterlooville, just above Portsmouth in Hampshire. I just noted the number and hung up straight away.

They wanted me to ring back to "fix the issue". Don’t fall for it. You can’t trust it. A total scam. Be warned, it’s marked as risky because eventually it’ll end up costing you cash somehow.
