Got a recorded call saying it was from British Telecom, warning that my internet would be disconnected soon due to some supposed fraudulent activity. It told me to press 1 to talk to someone about it. When I just hung up, the call ended immediately. But if I pressed 1, the line would cut out straight away too. Proper pointless scam. Next time, I’m thinking of leaving the call open to rack up charges - maybe then the actual British Telecom will step in and sort out these dodgy callers.
