I just missed the call and it went straight to voicemail, but of course they didn’t leave any message explaining what it was about. Proper annoying when they do that!

So I was looking after my boyfriend’s mum’s house while they were away, and I got a call from someone who sounded really uncertain, which was odd since I’m a bloke and definitely don’t sound like a woman in her 50s. When I asked to speak to ‘Mrs [Surname]’, the person just hung up on me after I asked them to say their name again. Quite charming, really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from "Telephone Protection Service," asking for a name that doesn't match anyone here (think it was the old owner on some scam list). They told me our number was registered with their TPS and that we'd be safe from any more spam calls. I told them the number’s already on the official TPS. They kept insisting "We're the TPS," and I replied, "No you aren’t," back and forth like that. When I started giggling, the lady - sounded like she had a strong foreign accent, maybe Indian - abruptly hung up. Total rubbish.
