Today I got a call from an overseas number at about 11:27 on the 2nd March 2021. It wasn’t the first time either, I’d already had another call earlier at 8:59 in the morning. When it rang, the full number popped up for a moment, but then it just switched to saying ‘international’ and I only managed to catch 01606 before that happened. I decided not to answer.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, saying he could help block nuisance calls. I told him he was the nuisance here and that I’d report him. He just laughed and dared me to report him to the military or something. Said he’d keep ringing me. Sure enough, I got about five more calls, all from similar numbers. Asked him to find a proper job and then I hung up. Such an annoying guy.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was Eric and claimed he could stop unwanted sales calls. Before anything, he asked me to verify some details like my age. Once I told him I was younger than 60, he suddenly said he couldn’t assist me and hung up. It made me suspicious - perhaps they’re targeting folks over a particular age they think are easier marks for scams. Or maybe I’m just being paranoid. Anyway, when I dialled the number back, it was unreachable, which just adds to my concerns. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
