After a bit of quiet (guessing some auto-dialler thing) a bloke with a thick Eastern accent told me he was from Amazon and told me to get on my computer. I played along, asking who he wanted to speak to, putting on my best receptionist voice. Then he just hung up.

Just got a pointless call from some scammer pretending to be from an insurance firm, trying to get info on a claim they had no part in. Be careful, loads of dodgy calls going around.

Received a rather persistent cold call today, seemed like they were trying to dig up some personal information. Claimed I had reported a car crash in the past couple of years, which I categorically denied. Then they moved on to probe about other family members possibly involved in accidents. Typical ambulance chasers! I've since added them to my blocked list.

Lad with a Scouse accent rang me about a crash I supposedly had 2 years ago. Claimed he’d got my details from the MOD (???) and DVLA, even knew my full name. I told him I’m sick of these calls, this is like the 5th one this week alone. He said it couldn’t be them cos they just started today, but that’s rubbish given all the complaints on here about this same number for weeks now! I told him, not very politely, to delete my info from their records and he didn’t get why I was annoyed, saying they’re only trying to help. I’ve never had an accident. Total scammers, avoid!

Got a call from a woman saying she was from the DVLA asking if my car had been in any accidents over the past two years. I said no, and then she went on to ask if anyone else in the house had any accidents. Still no. Then she had the nerve to ask if I'd faced any delays at the airport! I was like, since when does the DVLA look into flight delays? She just hung up after that. Ridiculous!

Just like the others, some bloke with a scouse accent rang up asking for me by my first name, saying there was a report about my car being damaged in the last couple of years and wanted to know if it was true. I told him "No, thats not true so jog on." Then he tried calling me twice straight away, probably to shout at me or something, but I ignored and blocked the number. Total scammer rubbish.

A woman called asking for Steve, I said he wasn’t here. She then said they wanted to talk about some documents they'd seen. When I asked what company they were calling from, she said they couldn’t say until speaking to Steve. I then asked what the documents were about, and she said they’d ring back later. I told her I don’t know any Steve, but they still called back later asking for him. Needless to say, he’s still not around.

Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call from this number. The caller requested to speak with someone named Gillian, but I'm Julieann, not her. The woman claimed she was reaching out on behalf of the DVLA, suggesting I had been involved in some sort of car accident. Naturally, I denied that ever happening. She then probed further, inquiring if anyone else in my household had been in such a predicament, to which I firmly responded no. As if that wasn’t strange enough, she proceeded to ask about any flight delays I might have experienced over the last year-again, my answer was negative. I bid her farewell and plan to block this number posthaste, but I’m left scratching my head as to how they obtained my mobile number in the first place.
