I suspect this could be linked to a loan application I put in but haven't received a response on yet.

Today, I received a call from this number, claiming I had requested a loan. I informed them that I had only applied for one a few months back, and out of the blue, they cut the line. I attempted to call them back, but was met with an automated response featuring the same woman's voice, which said I was blocked now. Quite odd, isn’t it?
