Got a call from this number on the 25th of May, no voicemail left or anything. After seeing the other comments, I’m guessing it’s probably one of those scam calls.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from Microsoft. He told me my computer had been blocked or something. He checked if I was the main user, which I confirmed, then asked if the computer was switched on. I said “No, you just woke me up!” He didn’t really respond to that. I don’t remember much else since I was still half asleep, but I ended the call quickly because I know these are dodgy scams!

Same as always, they never leave a message on my answerphone. If it was something urgent, they’d have told me, right? I always look up the number later and if it’s dodgy, I make sure to report it. Thanks to other people’s reviews, I’ve avoided a fair few headaches.

I just ignored the call and it went straight to voicemail with no message left. After seeing what others said, I’m really happy I chose not to pick up. Blocked the number as soon as I could.

Got a call from this number at 8:41 this morning. I was in the middle of brushing my teeth and since it was pretty early on a Saturday, I thought it could be someone from my family. But as soon as the woman started speaking, I knew it was a telemarketer, so I just told her to "buzz off".

Got a call about 1:20 this afternoon, some bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from Microsoft. I just said cheers, hung up straight away, and blocked the number. Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from this number early on Saturday morning around 8.23, with some guy claiming my computer was having issues. I told him I hadn’t got any problems and that calling so early on a weekend was really annoying. He then started getting rude, threatening to ring me at 5, 6, and 7 every morning, asking if I had the "balls" to stop him. Told him he was a complete muppet and then just ended the call.

Got a call on our home phone around 3.15 this afternoon. The line was terrible, and the person on the other end had a foreign accent. They started talking about computers straight away. I told them I wasn’t buying it, pointed out it was a Saturday afternoon and they shouldn’t be ringing then, looked like a scam, so I quickly hung up. I’d say this was pretty dodgy since they seemed keen to get into my computer. Reading other comments makes me think I wasn’t the only one targeted like this.

This bloke rang up with a weird accent, trying to sound all posh like he was from England. Claimed he was calling on behalf of Microsoft and said my computer was sending them error reports. Asked if I knew about any problems with my PC. I said I didn’t. Then he told me to switch it on so he could help fix the issues. Trouble was, my PC was already on, so I cottoned on quick. I told him I was going to hang up, block the number, and told him to “bugger off” before ending the call.

Just got a call from this number. When I picked up, there was silence at first, then I heard a kid singing something, sounded like it wasn’t English, and then they hung up. I thought maybe it was just some child dialing randomly, but after checking the reviews here, not so sure anymore. Not quite sure what the scam or trick is, but after reading the comments, I’ve decided to block it.

Just had a ring from this number too. Classic nonsense about my computer being hacked or something. The woman on the line kept saying she’d block it and all that. Told her I get calls like this all the time, so no need to keep bothering me. Funny thing is, I was getting calls like this even before I ever had a computer!

Got a missed call from a 01650 number but ignored it. From what I’ve heard, those are usually dodgy or spam calls. I keep having to add them to my block list.

I asked if the call was really from ‘Microsoft’ and she said yes (had an Asian accent). I mentioned my computer doesn’t actually run microsoft, so I wondered if that mattered. She hung up straight away. I’ve since blocked the number using BT Call Protect.

They're clearly aware they're up to no good, no manners at all. Honestly, don't waste your sympathy on these lot. Feel free to be as blunt as you want with them - it might just throw them off a bit!
