Got a call from a woman claiming to be from some energy assistance program, trying to check if I was eligible for government help with my bills. I've been trying to find out who owns this number but couldn't get anything from Google, even when I tried different ways of putting it in. Has anyone else had a call from it? I've had calls from similar numbers on my mobile but I usually just ignore calls from unknown numbers. Did anyone actually ring it back? Feels like it could be one of those call centre numbers that use a bunch of similar ones.

Got a call out of the blue from this number. The person knew my name and tried to see if I was eligible for some kind of energy assistance. I mentioned my number’s on the TPS list and she just dropped the call. I reckon they go by Energy Advice Bureau or something like that. She claimed she wasn’t trying to sell anything, but yeah, right.
