There was a call I picked up but all I could hear was silence the whole time.

Got a call supposedly from the Telephone Preference Service. They asked if I get lots of cold calls and mentioned a lot come from overseas. I asked straight up what’s being sold. I told them I do get annoying cold calls all the time! Then they said they could stop them for good. That made me suspicious, and the caller’s accent sounded Asian - probably some call centre. I politely declined. Later, I tried to ring back the number to verify and it just wasn’t recognised at all!
