Got a call from someone saying Virgin media internet was slow on my end. I told them I’m not with Virgin and they just dropped the call. These types of calls are everywhere, trying to scam folks who might not be so tech-savvy. When it happens to me, I pretend to go along with it even though I don’t have a computer. I ask for the website they want me to check out, try to get some kind of name or where they’re calling from, then keep them going as long as I can. At least if I waste their time, maybe fewer people get caught out by these scammers.
