They said they were from the Domestic & Repair Refund Department. Apparently, they’d accidentally taken £149 off my card and needed to give it back. But they couldn’t post a cheque or anything. Thing is, the person on the phone doesn’t even handle home appliance insurance, so it’s clearly a trick to grab card information. Total scam, no doubt about it.
